Fences Are a Must For Families With Pets!
Of course, there are many types of fences, but the most common are six foot high privacy fences and three foot high picket fences. If you have small dogs, picket fences may be the right choice for you. However, if you have large dogs or ones who bark whenever they see a person or other pet, the privacy fence is the likely choice. Iron fences is another option, but that is the most expensive option to consider.
The image here shows a privacy fence that was 28 years old and weather had taken its toll on the vertical planks. In fact, it was so unsightly that the neighbor adjacent installed a second privacy fence on his side around eight years ago so his family would not have to see the patched up remnant of the fence we replaced. The sections can be replaced in eight (8) foot wide segments, which works well when the fence is on level ground. However, as this property has a notable slope, it is easier to achieve a clean line across the top of the fence by installing them one vertical plank at a time. Of course, it is important to use pressure-treated wood and to avoid direct contact with the ground of the slats.
As you can see in this "after" picture that we took, we replaced the vertical 4" x 4" posts and anchored them in concrete, allowing them to harden before affixing new horizontal beams to which the vertical slats are attached.
Notice the clean line that we created at the top of the new fence that we installed. When you look at the right side of the screen above our new fence you will see that the neighbor had purchased prefabricated 8 foot long panels and, because of the slope in the property, a stair step effect occurs.
When we do fences, we do them right! We look forward to showing what we can do for you!
