One of the most sought after renovations in homes today is that of transforming bathrooms that were designed decades ago into the new, modern ones of today which are much more aesthetically appealing and functional. The example shown in the image below is a bathroom placed in a bedroom that has a limited amount of space, however, as you can see, we were able to add a very functional and aesthetically pleasing new walk-in shower that took the place of the bathtub. Because a glass door would impact the "throne," a curtain rod was put in place. The owners chose the standard straight curtain rod, while others prefer the curved curtain rod that appears to increase the room inside the shower when the water is on.

Whether you have a small space to work with or a large one, a modern and functional bathroom can easily be achieved. Take a look at the image below as example of a bathroom transformed. In this one, the old style tub/shower combo was replaced with a modern walk-in shower, of course, with multiple shower heads. Because there was plenty of room, we installed a glass wall and doorway. We integrated into the wall a place for the owner to place shampoo and other toiletries used in the shower. Take a look at the small picture above an you will see that the "throne" was previously beneath the octagon window, however, it is now in its own "privacy room" or, as others call it, "necessary room." Notice how the countertop is now a marble top with modern bowl sinks and ample storage beneath. This is a good example of a medium-sized bathroom that has been modernized.
