What is Tikkun Olam?

Tikkun Olam is a Hebrew phrase and it is also the name of an organization that leads the HOPE Reimagined initiative. First, let's look at the meaning of the Hebrew phrase and you will understand the mindset of the leadership of the organization.

HOPE Reimagined is founded and operated under Judeo-Christian principles, as is evident in what we do and how we do it. Tikkun Olam (תיקון עולם‎) is Hebrew that, literally translated, means "heal & repair the world." This term dates as far back as 10 A.D., however, the meaning has broadened to mean "improve, repair or prepare society at large." As believers, we believe that God instructed us to take steps toward improving the state of the world, giving those served a brighter future by helping restore their health and prepare them academically to take on greater responsibilities (and, as a natural result of such, earn greater salaries). By doing so, we bring honor to God. As we said on the home page on this site, HOPE Reimagined takes this mandate seriously!

Tikkun Olam is also an organization that holds the following as their mission statement: "Inspire * Engage * Catalyze All Who Desire To Use Their Heart + Energy + Skills + Social Reach To DigiSmartly Help Improve The World." It is no wonder that the executive leadership of Tikkun Olam brought together a team of organizations to serve those who need help the most through HOPE Reimagined. You will find that no other organization does what we do, but don't thank us for the support - give thanks where it belongs: To God!
